While there are several hospitals in Hungary that treat clubfoot babies, our preferred choice was the Ponseti Centre in the Heim Pál Children’s Hospital. Md. Miklós Szabó has been treating our boy from day one, so you might understand where our bias is coming from. 🙂

Although we are only halfway through the treatment, I am certain that our son is in the best hands possible. The gross motor skill development of Vili has been similar to that of babies of the same age (without clubfoot). All this despite the plasters casts and the braces, or perhaps rather as a result of them (?). 🙂

We are very grateful to all those working there, their professionalism and commitment to their job is exemplary. The kindness and positive vibe that they share every time we meet gives strength to the baby and the parents too.

It’s safe to say that we would not be where we are today without them. There is still a long way to go, but we do see the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s difficult to imagine today that the results achieved so far can be maintained on a long term too, but having heard the story of so many other babies treated by them who today live a full life without braces gives us hope.
